ISNHS 124th Foundation Day

The 124th Foundation Day of Ilocos Sur National High School was a joyful and memorable celebration for students, teachers, and the whole school community. The event highlighted the unity and talents of the students as everyone gathered to celebrate the long history and achievements of the school. It was a special day filled with excitement, pride, and school spirit.

One of the most exciting parts of the celebration was the dance performances prepared by each grade level. Every group presented a unique performance that showed their creativity, teamwork, and effort. What made the performances more interesting was that the students also created their own props, which added color and meaning to their presentations. The props helped make the dances more lively and entertaining for the audience.

Overall, the foundation day celebration was a wonderful experience for everyone. It gave students the opportunity to showcase their talents and work together as a team. The event also reminded us of the strong community and pride that we share as students of Ilocos Sur National High School, making the celebration truly unforgettable.

Fourth Quarter Reflection

    The fourth quarter was a meaningful and memorable part of my school year. One of the highlights was our pictorial for the moving-up ceremony. It made me feel excited and proud because it reminded me that I am close to finishing another chapter of my school life. I also enjoyed celebrating High School Day at Ilocos Sur National High School because it allowed students to come together and celebrate our achievements and school spirit.

    Another important experience during this quarter was participating in the school-based seminar workshop. The seminar helped me understand more about leadership, responsibility, and how to become a better student. Listening to the speakers and joining the activities inspired me to improve myself and to become more confident in facing different challenges.

    Overall, the fourth quarter gave me many lessons from both school activities and academic learnings. I realized the importance of working hard, cooperating with others, and staying determined to reach my goals. These experiences helped me grow as a student and prepared me for the next stage of my education.

Honoring the Strength of Women

    

    National Women’s Month is a time to recognize and celebrate the important contributions of women in society. In the Philippines, it is celebrated every March to honor women’s achievements in different fields such as education, leadership, and community service.     Women play a significant role in building strong families and communities. Many women work hard as leaders, teachers, mothers, and professionals while inspiring others with their dedication and perseverance. A Dream to Fly with Emirates Cabin Crew

 

    My dream is to become a flight attendant and someday work as part of the Emirates Cabin Crew. I have always been fascinated by airplanes and the idea of traveling around the world while helping people. Being a flight attendant is not only about serving passengers but also about ensuring their safety and comfort during the flight. I believe this career will allow me to meet people from different cultures and learn many new experiences.

    Working for Emirates is special to me because it is known as one of the best airlines in the world. Their cabin crew are professional, well-trained, and represent excellence in customer service. I admire how they handle passengers with kindness, confidence, and responsibility. Seeing their dedication inspires me to work hard so that I can also wear the uniform and represent the airline with pride.

    To achieve this dream, I know that I must study hard, improve my communication skills, and develop confidence. I also want to learn how to stay calm, responsible, and helpful in different situations. Becoming part of the Emirates Cabin Crew would not only be a personal achievement but also a way for me to make my family proud and turn my dream into reality.

    Valentine’s Day always feels a little different from ordinary days. Every February 14, there’s a certain excitement in the air people rushing to buy flowers, carefully writing letters, or secretly planning small surprises. It’s not just about couples; it’s also about friends exchanging chocolates, classmates giving simple notes, and families sharing a meal together. The day feels softer and warmer, as if everyone is reminded to be a little more open about their feelings.

    What makes Valentine’s Day special isn’t really the expensive gifts or grand gestures. It’s the effort behind them the time spent choosing the right words, the nervous smile when handing someone a card, or the simple “thank you for being in my life.” Even a small message can mean so much when it comes from the heart. Sometimes, the quiet moments like laughing together or having a simple conversation are the ones that make the day unforgettable.

    In the end, Valentine’s Day is a gentle reminder that love should not be kept unspoken. While it’s nice to have one day dedicated to celebrating it, love is best shown in everyday actions checking on a friend, helping at home, or appreciating someone’s presence.     The Intayon Ilocos Sur Festival 2026 is the vibrant yearly celebration marking the founding anniversary and cultural pride of Ilocos Sur province in the Philippines. Held every early February, the festival kicks off with a lively grand parade in the heritage city of Vigan that brings together floats, performers, and representatives from various towns to showcase local history, artistry, and community spirit. Traditional music, dance performances, and colorful costumes fill the streets, inviting locals and visitors alike to join in the celebration of Ilocano identity and heritage that has developed through centuries. 

    At the heart of the festival is the Ilocos Sur Trade and Food Fair, which runs for about two weeks and highlights the province’s economic and creative strengths. Hundreds of micro, small, and medium enterprises present an impressive array of local products from delicious regional delicacies and agricultural goods to handicrafts like inabel woven fabrics and traditional furniture. Competitions such as Mr. Ilocos Sur and Miss Ilocos Sur, Best-Dressed Booth and Most Innovative Product encourage entrepreneurial creativity alongside cultural pride, while workshops and craft demonstrations give visitors hands-on opportunities to learn about local techniques and traditions. 

    More than just a party, the Intayon Ilocos Sur Festival is a platform that celebrates both past and present. It honors the resilience and ingenuity of Ilocano communities by blending heritage with innovation, encouraging cultural preservation while supporting economic growth. For many attendees, the festival isn’t just a highlight of the year it’s a powerful reminder of shared history, community bonds, and the vibrant spirit that continues to shape Ilocos Sur’s identity well into 2026 and beyond.
